
As you keep adding vegetables the quantity goes on increasing. This is also one of those recipes that you can’t make in a small quantity. This tangy kadhi is a unique combination of gram flour based sauce with tamarind and assorted vegetables, which makes it a perfect dish for vegetarians and vegetable lovers. Because if you can eat what an expert has cooked, you would never feel the need to cook it. I would’ve probably never attempted this recipe if I was not living abroad, away from family. I’ve literally grown up eating this kadhi every weekend when we met for our regular family get-togethers. For me it’s quite intimidating because my benchmarks are my mother and expert aunts who just cannot go wrong cooking it and can cook for at least 50 people in one go. It’s a feast on its own kind of a recipe, ideal for serving to guests.
